It’s been a couple of weeks since my last Weekend Reads because I’ve been such a busy bee travelling in the USA. I had the most incredible time as I travelled from Miami to LA and then road tripped around California and Nevada. There were a few places that I knew I’d love but there were so many places in between that blew me away. I love finding unexpected gems while I’m travelling and somehow the lack of expectation makes you appreciate it even more. I’ll be writing all about these places over the next few weeks.
Morocco is one of the most exciting and interesting places I’ve ever visited and is still one of my favourite destinations. I think it’s because I loved it more than I ever expected to. Michael Turtle, from Time Travel Turtle, has written a great guide to Marrakech, a city which is most traveller’s first introduction to Morocco.
Here you will find some great links to super useful blog posts that will help you be more productive with your time. You don’t need to be a freelance writer to find these helpful.
The Great Ocean Road was my most memorable road trip in all of Australia and you only need to look at these incredible photos to see why!
A look at eco-friendly cities and initiatives around the world. If only we could combine all of these eco-friendly initiatives into one big green city.
Competition of the week
If there are any festival lovers out there (come on, I know there’s a lot of you out there) then you should take a look at Bank Fashion’s latest competition. You can win tickets for two to three European summer festivals. Write a festival themed blog posts to win and 50 runners up will win £200 to spend at Bank.
My next adventure…
And now for the exciting part. Next week I’m going to the Caribbean! I leave on Tuesday for a trip to Barbados and St Kitts.
The trip has been organized by and and I’ll also be writing a summary of my trip for the Time Out magazine. I’ve been an avid reader of Timeout since I first moved to London so I’m pretty exciting to see my name and my face in print.
If you want to follow my trip then you can find all of my live updates on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. There will also be a live social media wall Timeout.com that will bring all my social updates together so I’ll share the URL as soon as I know it.
